Walsh-Vinci Construction Adopts a North American Bald Eagle

Feb. 13, 2015 – Walsh-Vinci Construction (WVC) has adopted a North American Bald Eagle, which resides at the Louisville Zoo.

The adoption was coordinated through the Animals Depend On People To Survive (ADOPTS) program. By being involved in the ADOPTS Program, WVC now helps cover some of the cost that goes toward feeding and caring for all of the animals at the Louisville Zoo.

The adoption was undertaken to celebrate Save the Eagles Day, which occurs on January 10 each year. Some species of eagles are on the endangered list, however, due to the work of scientists and the public, the Bald Eagle was removed from this list in June 2007.
